World History Assignment 03: Will there be a revolution November 5th?

We’ve been talking a lot about the idea of the Social Contract theory and how it was applied during the enlightenment. Locke and ”Monty” had one view, and Hobbes had very different view of it.

Now we’ll time travel forward several weeks to November 5th– the day after the Presidential Election. The papers, news programs and internet will be abuzz with information about the winner (and loser) and  Republicans and Democrats alike are going to try to use the results of the election to justify one thing or the other.

World History Assignment 01: Detecting Bias, Propaganda….

This assignment is due by Tuesday September 16th, 2:30 PM.

Alright ladies and gentlemen:

Yesterday we talked a little bit about bias, propaganda and stuff like that. Remember that figuring out whether a source is biased, credible or just plain propaganda is a skill that you’ll need for the OGT. Roughly 20% or one out of every 5 questions on the OGT corresponds to these skills. Make sure you read all of the instructions and follow them very carefully.
